Danger, Mr. Eagle!

We had a little excitement yesterday.  I was sitting in my office, just daydreaming and writing some notes when I saw something fall from the sky and land on the road about a block from our house.  Then something big and brown fell from the sky close to it.  A big brown thing that hopped a few times, then raised its head and spread its wings.  It was a huge bird.  White head.  Brown body.  White tail feathers.  It took a few seconds for it all to compute.  There was a bald eagle standing on the road by our house.

Of Pencils, Pens and Keyboards

When I wrote about digital journaling, a couple of the arguments for using a keyboard are that (1) I can read what I type but I can’t read what I write and (2) my typing can keep up with the speed of my mind but my handwriting can’t.  It turns out that I might have had an incorrect perspective.

Linda at Spiritual Dragonfly included references to her birth tree and her Celtic tree in her newest Share Your World, so I had to check out what my trees would be.  This was so much fun that I had to pass the links along to you, and put my trees into my journal.

Soul Journaling – My Discovery

I’ve been looking for a way to take my writing deeper, beyond the minutiae of daily life, to a place where I can explore all the changes going on with me.  That’s a challenge, especially when you don’t know where to start.  When I’m clueless, I put the question out to the Universe, and the Universe responded with books, blogs and writing prompts galore… I’ve been turned on to soul journaling.
